If you are using your photography website to market photography, how is it going for you, so far? If you’re like most photographers, it isn’t going so well. I don’t mean to brag, but, if you were to go to Google or any of the larger search engines and type in the keyword phrase ‘photography marketing,’ my photography website is ranked #1. And it has been ranked in the top 3 of Google for a number of years.
This might be impressive. But, trust me, it isn’t because of my photography skills or the success of my photography business. Neither is it because I am a photography ‘guru.’
It is because of search engine optimization SEO.
I’m an expert at SEO now. But, it took me years of trial and error – and buying a lot of ‘hyped-up’ stuff. Eventually, I became very good at search engine optimization. As a result, my websites get a lot of traffic.
These days, if you are using a photography website to market your photography, you must get your website highly ranked in the search engines. However, these days, you do not need to go through all of the frustration that I did. There are online services that will tell you how well your photography website is optimized. Some of the reports will also tell you what you need to do to get your website better optimized. Some of them cost quite a bit of money. Others do not.
Here’s a source to get a very complete SEO Report for your website (or any website) that you will find very helpful. It is very comprehensive, understandable and helpful – and it’s free. No hype. No upsells. Take a look and see if you can use it improve your photography website search engine rankings. Enjoy!
